Prepar3D Used to Shape Future STEM Leaders

Each year, Lockheed Martin hires thousands of interns to work at sites around the US. During their time here, the interns gain valuable work experience and partner closely with their managers and colleagues to complete challenging tasks that help solve real world problems. This summer, Lockheed Martin welcomed 2,400 summer interns, more than half of whom are working virtually. In addition to gaining real-world experience on projects, interns participate in a design competition project which is designed to challenge engineering skills and bring fellowship and fun to the virtual internship experience. The virtual interns at Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company,

Dream-Fly Bogota, Columbia

I was invited to speak at the “Dream-Fly Columbia” aviation training conference held recently from 5-11 September at the University of San Buenaventura in Bogotá, Columbia.  I gave a presentation on Prepar3D and showed it off to a large audience at the University.  I was graciously hosted by the CEO of VirtualCol, José Gonzales along with his son, Carlos.  I had a great time and met up with a few companies and military representatives that are keenly interested in using Prepar3D in various programs there.    A wonderful experience! Here is a photo taken during the presentation:

Oshkosh Wrap-up

Well, it was a very productive (although tiring!) week for us at Oshkosh!   We had literally thousands of people come by and try out Prepar3D and have a chat.  The total numbers to the show are pretty amazing.  EAA estimate that there were 541,000 people that attended the show during the week and nearly 1,000 aircraft on display! The response to Prepar3D was just so positive.  A lot of people were very impressed by the application and the new features in it.  I also had the opportunity to meet with developers and solution providers.  There were actually a few

Oshkosh: Wednesday/Thursday

Hi, I tried to put up a post yesterday, but looks like the wireless access timed out just as I was hitting the publish button!   Wednesday was a very eventful day with the booth as busy as ever even though it was raining (a lot!).  I was able to have a great chat with a Prepar3D developer, WarpD, whom was visiting the show.  He is a very experienced FS and P3D developer with a lot of knowledge on .air files.   We spent some great quality time together discussing Prepar3D! The theme yesterday was one of surprise and excitement

Oshkosh Update Monday/Tuesday

Hi Everyone, A quick update from Oshkosh AirVenture 2011. After setting up on Sunday, we are up and running at the show in the EAA Learn to Fly Discovery Pavillion. We have had a tremendous response from visitors to the show and it is normally a couple of people deep at the kiosks where we are showing Prepar3D! I have managed to visit a few of the Prepar3D Solution developers here at the show and it has been great meeting them face to face. Here is a shot of the booth: We have also had a great mention in the
