I didn't think you were supposed to delete the shaders folder, just the files within?

I've had this issue. Check C:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v6

I'll bet you'll find it in there. Mine is installed in D:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v6

I copied the files that were installed by the patch in the c:\ location re to the D:\.... folder and all worked.

Where is P3D installed? Is it on the c: drive or in another drive? Mine is installed on D:\ but the patch ends up installing in c:\program files.....

As Martyson asked though, what are you seeing with the default aircraft?

Which Nvidia driver did you install? The game ready one?

Nothing wrong with asking, that's how we all learn. :-)

It stands for affinity mask. It basically tells P3D what cores of the processor it can and can't run on.

It was the default mask causing the hangs. max Can you share the AM settings that fixed your Hangs (so far)? Shame, but I'd guessed it would be happening. At least there is the work around. And Maybe there might be some more freeware coming along for P3D V5 from Orbx that can be shoehorned into V6 to work.

Purely out of curiosity, if you go to 'about' in the in flight menu, what version of P3D shows?
