I have the same issue that just started happening. Any way of resolving this? 8GB of VRAM. Happens at default airports and payware. My settings are medium (sliders somewhere in the middle).

It is exactly what I mean.

1.) I uninstalled P3D and did a fresh install. Rebooted.
2.) Then did three flights WITHOUT rebooting. Performance degraded.
3.) Only when I rebooted it performance came back.
4.) Yes, always test with default aircraft first.

Hmmm. I just reinstalled P3DV5 with no scenery add ons. Installed two aircraft add ons and three flights each. Stutters introduced in flight 2 and flight 3 is worse. Rebooted PC and fine! Interesting indeed.

Thanks for responding. I thought it was only me experiencing this. Not sure if anyone has found a solution without restarting the PC. I do not mind restarting P3D for a fresh start.

Interesting just did three flights testing it. As every flight went along the performance deteriorated. Then restarted and did the first flight and smooth. Is there something I can delete? Kinda of like what we do when we update the NVIDIA drivers and delete the shader cache.

I have done some extensive testing of the new sim. I have noticed on my machine a restart is required to eliminate stutters. What they are recommending is uninstalling the Client, Content, and Scenery packages and reinstalling those three packages.

Follow up on my last post. I do have Rex WX Weather Advantage installed but I do not use it.

Interesting. I did uninstall the hotfix and reinstall the 4.5 initial release client and it works now. I then uninstalled 4.5 original for the hot fix and same issue. Interesting indeed!
