Change is needed.
I have now spent 55hrs using MSFS2020. Ignoring all the problems within MSFS2020, the graphics are just perfect and depicts the world we live in very well. The terrain and colours, water and clouds in FS2020 just kill P3Dv5.1, and in my opinion P3D is dead in the water unless Lockheed Martin do something drastic to get P3D up to the level of MSFS2020 or even better it. I took a flight in P3D this morning and I could not fly longer than 5 minutes and exited the program. There is I'm sorry to say no comparison and it is sad.

I fly both as well with ActiveSky in P3D.Uriah wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 2:56 pm I have now spent 55hrs using MSFS2020. Which aircraft are your flying in both sims?

I also have ActiveSky and it does not compare to MSFS2020.
Aircraft:
Airbus A320, Cessna 172, TBM 930, PA44 Seminole, Citation CJ4, Savage Cub, Zlin.
I do not bother with any of the Boeings as they have some serious flight dynamic problems. The Airbus is pretty reasonable now with the FlyByWire mod.

Uriah,
Let's just say that opinions on how MSFS2020 and P3D compare differ widely.

Re: Change is needed.
Martyson, in P3d I fly A318/A319/A320, most of the aircraft from Carenado, some Areosoft.
Re: Change is needed.
Hello Jorgen
Graphics wise, P3D cannot and does not compare to MSFS2020. I have every ORBX Region that is available installed in P3Dv5 and that made P3D usable and reasonably OK in a visual way but without ORBX and other 3rd party addons P3D just cannot compare. I do not like Microsoft one little bit as they are bullies and spy on everything we do ( that's why they developed Windows 10 ) but they started Flight simulator (all those years ago) and have taken it to a different level with every new release, and now with the help from their developers ASOBO. MSFS2020 is still racked with problems but they will get there and are working on it whereas Lockheed Martin bought the rights to FSX and have just about done nothing with it, except create a 64bit version. Graphically P3D is 10 years behind cosidering the technology that is available today. I am not looking for an arguement but facts are facts. You all have a nice day.

Re: Change is needed.
Uriah if your going to come on here and bash prepar then you need to move on I am really surprise that the admins on prepar didn’t take your ruthless comment down. MSFS 2020 is a game but far from a real simulator enjoy okay but don’t come on here saying how bad prepar is okay..sick of people like you bashing oh prepar is not good enough the scenery doesn’t look great In prepar MSFS is the best blah blah blah ....move on dude nobody cares...
Re: Change is needed.
"MSFS 2020 is a game" - I totally agree. I had it on my system for about 30 minutes, then I demanded my money back.
If people like it, let them brag about how good it in their own forums.
If people do not like P3D, they can just uninstall it and leave the rest of us alone.

Re: Change is needed.
I enjoy flying my favorite aircraft (VFR/IFR training flights) using Xplane11.5 P3Dv4.5HF3, P3Dv5.1HF1
and MSFS [2020].
Notes:
I just recently uninstalled MSFS9 and MSFSX.
Some of the aircraft I fly (default and payware) are only available in specific simulators.
MSFS [2020] now has VR.
