I have installed P3Dv5HF2 without any previous version of P3Dv5.
When I change location of the "My documents" folder, P3Dv5HF2 doesn't find the new location and desappears when I select a saved flight.
In the same time, P3Dv4.5HF3 find the new location and works correctly.
How can I fix this by myself?
I have made 2 installations with using Jorgen's recommandations.
Changing location folder using contextual menu

Michel,
I couldn't tell you how to do that, because I have never tried it myself.....

Re: P3Dv5HF2 impossible to change location of "my documents" folder
Thank you very much Jorgen
My documents folder is on the default location (C:\).
I want to move it to the D:\
Due to P3Dv5HF2 only, I cannot do that.
In the same time, if the location of "My documents" folder is on the D:\, P3Dv4.5HF3 works perfectly.
So, no necessity to reinstall for the third time P3Dv5HF2.
Thank's for the instructions to a very clean install.

Re: P3Dv5HF2 impossible to change location of "my documents" folder
The My Documents folders are not normally relocatable. I'm not sure why you want to...
I've found some developers like to put all of their files along side the add-on.xml in the documents folder and this works but it is not what the SDK instructions to developers provides. I always undo that kind of mess for any scenery addon that does that. What I allow in my documents for addon folders is generally only an xml file and they are never very large.
I assume you could use a symbolic link to retain the logical identity of the documents directories but have them physically elsewhere but you need to learn out to use this tool first.

Re: P3Dv5HF2 impossible to change location of "my documents" folder
Hi
The "documents" folder is relocatable with a right clic/Emplacement/Déplacer (/ Location / Move).
My first disk is a SSD and I always put "My documents" folder on a HDD. That is the reason.
So, the question is : why all works fine when "My documents" is relocated in the P3Dv4? This is a bug of P3Dv4???
Not necessary to use a symbolic link. Windows knows where is the "My documents" folder when relacation is made with windows options.
