[RESOLVED] Updated to 4.4, always crashes on start up

Hello

4.4 always loads up fine but crashes when the new scenario screen comes up

Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the Prepar3D Forum.

Was this a new Install, fresh Install ? Or did you update Prepar3D v4 using the update component Installers ?

Do you have many 3rd party Add Ons ?

Hello

This was a fresh install, I have a few 3rd Party addons.

deleting those files in the thread you told me to follow did not work

Hello Liam

Check the Windows Event Viewer for any crash reports, You can get to this location by going to the Windows Search Box, type ‘Event’, click on Event Viewer, Once open, click on Custom Views > Administrative Events. You will notice these events are time and date stamped, See This Image for an example

Copy and paste this code into your next reply.

Also please Include the following Information

1) Prepar3D version
2) Operating system
3) All add-ons installed (applications, scenery, vehicles, etc.)
4) Hardware (graphics card, CPU, RAM, displays, etc.)
5) Changes made to your system – overclocking, graphics accelerators (NVIDIA Inspector), debuggers
6) Changes to Prepar3D's settings or configuration files

I am using P3Dv4.4
Windows 10 Home
No addons installed at the moment due to the crashing
GPU: GTX 1050TI
CPU: i5-7500
RAM: 16GB
No overclocking, graphics accelerators etc
No changes to P3D.cfg

Hello Liam

The ntdll.dll error can be cause by many different situations, Hardware Instability, Software, out of date drivers, Add Ons and so on.

Just to confirm, Have you removed the 5 Prepar3D generated folders listed from the video link below, Then launch Prepar3D and test ?

Here are some additional steps you can try

1) Have you run the Windows updates and applied all updates for your Operating System ?

2) Run the The System File Checker, Its a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. For a guide to use this tool Click Here

3) Update or reinstall your graphics driver but maybe try DDU (Driver Display Uninstaller) to cleanly remove your previous driver and then reinstall your graphics driver again. Please see This Link for Information.

4) Remove all USB Devices Including extra Monitors and USB sounds cards (Except keyboard and mouse) Plug just 1 Monitor back directly into your dedicated GPU and then launch Prepar3D and test.

5) Finally Uninstall and then reinstall Prepar3D v4 again. The link below shows you how to complete a clean uninstall of Prepar3D v4
