I can't get past this screen.
When trying to import FSX missions into Prepar3D, I always come across this error. Can anyone help me solve it?
Re: I can't get past this screen.
I have replied to this one at FlightSim.com.

Hello MatGamerYTB ,
Your first screenshot error message mentions a path from the A:\
floppy drive
Just to verify if you are using a floppy drive?

It's my SSD. A:\ It's one of his partitions.

I am not sure if it is possible to use FSX missions in P3D, but then again I don't know why not.
If it is possible, then you have an issue, and the file that P3D is asking for on your A: drive/partition must be there in that location for it to work.
What I would suggest is that you search your FSX installation to see if you can find that file there, and then copy it over to the A: drive/partition.

Just to verify your current setup.
P3D5 is on your C drive and it starts up normally, correct?
FSX is on your SS drive and you can start it up OK, correct?
Is your FSX the original FSX Deluxe version (on a CD) or the Steam version?

Re: I can't get past this screen.
Martyson,
1. There are 5 more or less common versions of FSX: Standard (2 DVDs), DeLuxe (2 DVDs), Acceleration (1 DVD), FSW (by Dovetail) and Steam (downloadable). The Gold version is not a version per se, but Deluxe and Acceleration in one package (3 DVDs). It can also be argued that Acceleration is not a version per se either, since the Acceleration DVD has to be installed on top of a working DeLuxe installation, the result then becoming Acceleration.
2. Kindly explain why the version and FSX location is important in any way, shape or form to the OP's issue (hint: it isn't).

Hi MatGamerYTB ,
Ok,
I did a quick test (FSX mission to P3D5.4.9) and got the Missions splash screen Ok but then the resources error when I started the mission (screenshots).
It looks like the missing resource could be the e.g., aircraft / path.
More testing will be required on my setup.

Martyson,
If you had bothered to read the thread in its entirety, you would have seen that I actually told the OP that he needs to get that resource file and put it into the correct place.

Hello MatGamerYTB ,
I copied the aircraft from FSX (my second PC) to P3D5 (my main PC).
At least now I got the aircraft in the air (basic flight, screenshots) but I still need to get an Objects error fixed on my setup.
Note:
My setup is networked PC's so different than your setup. I am trying to xfer files to get a mission working. If it works then your setup should also work.
Have you made any progress on your setup?

Re: I can't get past this screen.
The point in question is: Finding the place where the objects in the mission scenarios are located. I don't know if even finding it will work. But knowing where they are is the first step.

Yes, I mentioned that in my last post.MatGamerYTB wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 4:42 pm The point in question is: Finding the place where the objects in the mission scenarios are located. I don't know if even finding it will work. But knowing where they are is the first step.
Without the correct Objects and with my Resource Path fixed my mission gets converted to a standard scenario.
Are you able to get your mission in P3D5 as far as my last screenshots?
Can you post any additional screenshots of your progress?

Re: I can't get past this screen.
What's happening to you when you enter the mission, but it doesn't work, is the same thing that's happening to me.

What is the content of your:
Documents (folder) \Prepar3D v5 Files\objectloaderrors.txt file?

Re: I can't get past this screen.
I had a look at the missions in P3Dv4 , 5 and 6.
They all use XML files and FSX does not.
